Effort in Weaving |
|
The more the weaver has to change the wool threat from one color to an other, the longer he will need to complete the carpet and the extra effort (to that labor which the weaver would have in case of a carpet with only one color) will increase and production cost accordingly. Designs with few colors and/or plain color fields imply a minimal effort; if shadings (dithering, color variations) and/or more colors have to be knotted, than the labor of the weaver increases a Photographic designs imply usually maximum effort. Consider the percentages shown beneath the exhibits - classified in three groups: "minimal, medium and maximum". Before any production starts we analyze the digital design and know exactly how much the extra effort will be.
